Paddy Pimblett: I Get Paid Well, Some People Don’t, Which Is Bad For Them

Paddy Pimblett is set to challenge for his first championship in the UFC when he takes on Justin Gaethje for the Interim Lightweight Title at UFC 324.

The fight will headline UFC 324, which is the first event to air live on Paramount+. Fighter pay has always been a discussion in the UFC, but now ever moreso as the pay-per-view structure no longer exists and fighters don’t have PPV points.

Speaking to Casino Guru, Paddy was asked about compensation for fighters.

“I get paid well, some people don’t, which is bad for them. I just feel sorry for them. It depends what type of fighter you are to the fact you’re getting paid. I put bums on seat, so I get paid. If you don’t put bums on seats, you’re not going to get paid; and there’s a lot of people like that who don’t put bums on seats, and then they complain about the wages. I get paid because I put bums on seats. I entertain, I bring the crowd, and that’s just the way I roll,” he said.

Pimblett is 23-3 in his MMA career and 7-0 in the UFC. He is coming off a TKO victory over Michael Chandler.
