Patricky Pitbull and Jaleel Willis were supposed to meet in the co-main event of Bellator 249, but Pitbull was pulled from the card due to suffering from vertigo-like symptoms.

While Pitbull has suffered from similar issues in the past, the most recent one snuck up on him.

“Two years ago I had a fight and a similar thing happened,” Pitbull said to MMA Junkie. “It was strong but not quite as strong. It comes and goes, dizzy some days and not dizzy others. Pretty much. I haven’t been diagnosed with anything but it snuck up on my pretty quickly.”

Pitbull hasn’t competed in almost a year, as his last bout came at Rizin 20 in December of 2019.

The competitor doesn’t know when he’ll fight again, but Pitbull is staying ready for when the opportunity comes.

“I’m continuing to train and stay in shape,” Pitbull said. “I’m weighing 170 pounds, trying to keep my weight down and stay fight ready. I don’t know when my next fight will be but I am continuing to stay in shape in case something comes up.”
