Rampage Jackson Not Happy With Bellator 237 Loss, Moving Back To Light Heavyweight

Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Rampage Jackson suffered a first round knockout loss to Fedor Emelianenko in the main event of Bellator 237.

A defeated Jackson, in a now deleted Instagram post, stated that he didn't get the outcome that was desired at Bellator 237:

“Sorry guys we didn’t get the outcome we wanted, but you know what, I knew one of us was going to get knocked out. But I didn’t know it was going to be (expletive) me. But you know what? I ain’t mad, though. You win some, you lose some. You get paid for all. Y’all remember that.”

MMA Junkie spoke with a member of Jackson’s team, who says the fighter is returning to light heavyweight for his next bout.

Jackson also admits that he didn’t look good at heavyweight, which will necessitate the move down to 205 pounds.

“It’s all good – I’m not in a bad mood,” Jackson said. “I just know what I got to do. I got to get my damn weight down. I felt like a hippopotamus out there. But that’s my fault. No excuses. It’s all right. I’ll be back. But I ain’t coming back at heavyweight. I’ve got to lose this weight.”

There is no word yet on when Jackson will return to action, as the fighter has won just one of his last four under the Bellator MMA banner.
