Four more fights have been added to next months Rizin 16 card according to MMA Junkie as Daron Cruickshank faces Tofiq Musaev, Yusaku Nakamura faces Thanongsaklek Tiger Muay Thai, Namiki Kawahara faces Takaki Soya and Kana Hyatt faces Mamoru Uoi.
Cruickshank (21-11-0-1NC) has won five of eight under the Rizin banner, including a victory over fellow UFC veteran Diego Brandao at Rizin 13. Musaev (14-3-0) enters the contest while riding a ten fight winning streak and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in over three years.
Nakamura (14-6-1) enters the contest while riding a two fight winning streak and he hasn’t won a bout in over two years. Muay Thai (6-2-0) has won just one of two in Rizin competition, with that lone win coming against Tadaaki Yamamoto at Rizin 11.
Kawahara (5-1-2-1NC) is making his Rizin debut in this bout and does so despite not having won a bout in almost two years. Soya (9-4-1) has won two of the last three bouts and the fighter has spent the majority of his professional MMA career competing in the Shooto promotion.
Hyatt (16-17-0) is going to be making his Rizin debut in this bout and is also returning to action for the first time in a year. Uoi (20-6-4) is going to be making his Rizin debut as well and is also fighting for the first time this year.
Rizin 16 takes place on Sunday, June 2 from the World Memorial Hall in Kobe, Japan with Ayaka Hamasaki and Jinh Yu Frey headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on Fite TV.
