Report: 7 Fighters Off UFC 250 Card Due To Visa Issues

Next month's UFC 250 card is reportedly undergoing some major changes as seven fighters have been pulled from the card due to visa issues.

MMA Fighting reports that former UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo, former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Mauricio Rua, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Bethe Correia, Ketlen Vieira, Augusto Sakai and Carlos Felipe. There has been no statement yet from the UFC on the matter and no word has been given yet on who will replace the competitors no longer fighting on the UFC 250 card.

Aldo has reportedly been replaced by former UFC Bantamweight Champion Dominick Cruz, who will now challenge UFC Bantamweight Champion Henry Cejudo for the title in the main event.

Other fighters such as Marion Reneau, Pannie Kianzad, Blagoy Ivanov and Sergey Spivak will need new opponents for the card due to their original foes visa issues. Rua and Nogueira were supposed to fight each other, so their bout and participation on the UFC 250 card is no more.

UFC 250 takes place on Saturday, May 9 from the Tachi Palace Resort Casino in Lemoore, California with Henry Cejudo and Dominick Cruz headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
