A welterweight division attraction has been added to the July 15 UFC card as Abdul Razak Alhassan faces Mounir Lazzez.
MMA Junkie first reported the fight, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
Alhassan (10-1-0) is competing for the first time since being found not guilty of sexual assault charges this past March. Alhassan last competed at UFC 228, where he scored a first round knockout win over Niko Price. Alhassan has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came against Omari Kahmedov at UFC Fight Night 109.
Lazzez (9-1-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a two fight winning streak. Lazzez has suffered just one loss as a pro MMA fighter and that came to Eldar Eldarov at Brave CF 23. Lazzez has picked up nine wins as a professional MMA fighter and eight of them came by way of KO/TKO.
The recently announced UFC card takes place on Wednesday, July 15 from Fight Island in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
