A heavyweight division attraction has been added to UFC 254 as #8 Alexander Volkov faces #10 Walt Harris.
Sports.ru first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
Volkov (31-8-0) has won just one of his last three under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Greg Hardy at UFC Fight Night Moscow. Volkov is winless when competing on UFC pay-per-view events, dropping a bout to Derrick Lewis at UFC 229. Volkov is a former Bellator MMA Heavyweight Champion, defeating Rich Hale at Bellator 84 to win the gold.
Harris (13-8-0-1NC) hasn’t picked up a victory in over a year, with that last win coming over Aleksei Oleinik at UFC Fight Night San Antonio. Harris has won just one of four when competing at UFC pay-per-view events, with that lone win coming at UFC 197. Harris has picked up thirteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and all of them have come by way of KO/TKO.
UFC 254 takes place on Saturday, October 24 from a location to be announced with Khabib Nurmagomedov and Justin Gaethje headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
