A heavyweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night: Holm vs. Aldana as Andrei Arlovski faces Tanner Boser.
Aaron Bronsteter of TSN first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
Arlovski (29-19-0-2NC) has won two of his last seven under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Ben Rothwell and Philipe Lins. Arlovski is a former UFC Heavyweight Champion, defeating Tim Sylvia at UFC 51 to win the championship. Arlovski has picked up twenty nine wins as a professional MMA fighter and seventeen of them came by way of KO/TKO.
Boser (19-6-1) enters the contest riding a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Raphael Pessoa and the aforementioned Lins. Boser is a former Unified MMA Heavyweight Champion, defeating Tony Lopez to win the gold at Unified MMA 27. Boser has suffered six losses as a professional MMA fighter and five of them came by way of decision.
UFC Fight Night: Holm vs. Aldana takes place on Saturday, October 3 from a location to be announced with Holly Holm and Irene Aldana headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
