Report: Andrew Sanchez vs. Marvin Vettori Re-Booked For UFC Fight Night Tampa

A middleweight division attraction, originally scheduled for UFC Fight Night Vancouver before Sanchez’s withdrawal, has been re-booked for UFC Fight Night Tampa according to Marcel Dorff of MMA DNA as Andrew Sanchez faces Marvin Vettori

Sanchez (11-4-0) enters the contest on the strength of a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Markus Perez and Marc-Andre Barriault. Sanchez hasn’t suffered a defeat in almost two years, with that last loss coming against Ryan Janes at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale. Sanchez was the winner of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 23, defeating Khalil Rountree by unanimous decision in the finals.

Unranked UFC Fighters to Watch out for in 2024

Vettori (13-4-1) has won just two of his last five under the UFC banner, with those wins coming against the duo of Cezar Ferreira and Vitor Miranda. Vettori has seen his last five professional MMA bouts go the distance and it has been almost three years since the fighter got a finish. Vettori has suffered a total of four losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of those defeats came by way of decision.

UFC Fight Night Tampa takes place on Saturday, October 12 from the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida with Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Michelle Waterson headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
