A women’s flyweight division attraction has been added to Bellator 231 according to MMA Junkie as Bec Rawlings is going to be in action against Ilara Joanne.
Rawlings (7-8-0) is going to be making her Bellator MMA debut in this bout, but she is coming off of a successful stint in bare knuckle boxing. Rawlings also enters the contest while in the midst of a four fight losing streak and she hasn’t won a bout in over three years. Rawlings also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 20, losing in the opening round of the reality show to Tecia Torres.
Joanne (8-4-0) is also going to be making her Bellator MMA debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a two fight winning streak. Joanne is back in action for the first time in over a year, as her last professional MMA bout took place in October of 2018. Joanne has won eight bouts as a professional MMA fighter and half of those wins came by way of KO/TKO.
Bellator 231 takes place on Friday, October 25 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with Frank Mir and Roy Nelson headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
