Report: Brandon Girtz Injured, Bout Pulled From Bellator 227

The Bellator 227 card has taken a big hit because a co-main event bout between Brandon Girtz and Jon Tuck has been pulled from the card due to an injury suffered by Girtz. There is no word yet on how long Girtz is expected to be out of action for, but more shown be known as the fighter heals from the injury. 

Girtz would comment on the matter via Instagram:

Tuck would also be pulled from the card after Bellator MMA officials couldn’t find a suitable replacement opponent for him to face in time for this Friday’s event.

Bellator 227 takes place on Friday, September 27 from the 3 Arena in Dublin, Ireland with Ben Henderson and Myles Jury headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs via tape delay on the Paramount Network.
