Report: Carlos Condit vs. Matt Brown On January 30 UFC Card

A long-awaited firefight between all-action UFC legends Carlos Condit and Matt Brown is finally expected to go down.

Condit vs. Brown is currently scheduled for a UFC Fight Night event on January 30, according to Damon Martin of MMA Fighting. This match-up is years in the making. Condit vs. Brown was first targeted for UFC on Fox 9 in December 2013. They were subsequently rebooked for April 2018; however, Brown pulled out on both occasions.

Condit snapped a five-fight losing streak, dating back to his iconic 2016 title fight against Robbie Lawler, with a unanimous decision win over Court McGee in October. Brown is coming off a second-round TKO loss to Miguel Baeza in May. That loss snapped a two-fight KO streak over Diego Sanchez and Ben Saunders.

UFC on ESPN+ 46 will take place from a yet-to-be-determined location on January 30. UFC President Dana White expects UFC 257 — one week prior — to take place on Fight Island in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. White has also previously expected a return to Fight Island in late January or early February.

Other fights expected to take place on January 30 include Roxanne Modafferi vs. Viviane Araújo and  Vinicius Moreira vs. Isaac Villanueva.
