A lightweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo according to Marcel Dorff of MMA DNA as #12 Charles Oliveira is in action against Jared Gordon.
Oliveira (27-8-0-1NC) enters the contest while in the midst of a five fight winning streak, last defeating Nik Lentz by second round TKO at UFC Fight Night Rochester. Oliveira holds the record for the most submission victories in the UFC and has a total of eighteen wins by submission as a professional MMA fighter. Oliveira hasn’t been defeated in almost two years and that last loss came to Paul Felder via second round TKO at UFC 218.
Gordon (15-3-0) has won just one of his last three under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Dan Moret at UFC Fight Night Minneapolis. Gordon is a former Cage Fury Fighting Championship Lightweight Champion, defeating Bill Algeo to win the gold at CFFC 63. Gordon has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them came by way of KO/TKO.
