Report: Chris Weidman vs. Jack Hermansson Headlines UFC Fight Night Oklahoma City

A middleweight division attraction is going to be headlining UFC Fight Night Oklahoma City as #6 Jack Hermansson faces former UFC Middleweight Champion Chris Weidman.

Weidman (14-5-0) is back at middleweight after a one fight stint at light heavyweight, which was a first round knockout loss to Dominick Reyes at UFC Fight Night Boston. Weidman has won just one of his last six bouts, with that lone win coming over Kelvin Gastelum at UFC On Fox 25. Weidman is a former UFC Middleweight Champion, defeating Anderson Silva by second round knockout at UFC 162 to claim the gold.

Hermansson (20-5-0) has won four of his last five under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Thales Leites, Gerald Meerschaert, Ronaldo Souza and David Branch. Hermansson has previously headlined two UFC cards and the fighter has a 1-1-0 record in those events. Hermansson has picked up twenty wins as a professional MMA fighter and eleven of them have come by way of KO/TKO.

UFC Fight Night Oklahoma City takes place on Saturday, May 2 from the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with Chris Weidman and Jack Hermansson headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
