Report: Claudio Silva vs. Muslim Salikhov Added To UFC Fight Night: Ortega vs. Jung

A welterweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night: Ortega vs. Jung as Claudio Silva faces Muslim Salikhov.

Silva (14-1-0) is undefeated thus far under the UFC banner, having defeated Brad Scott, Leon Edwards, Nordine Taleb, Danny Roberts and Cole Williams. Silva hasn’t been defeated in nearly 13 years, with that last loss coming to Matt Thorpe at Ultimate Warrior Challenge 5. Silva has competed 15 times as a professional MMA fighter and just one of those bouts went the distance.

Salikhov (17-2-0) enters the contest riding a four fight winning streak, with those wins coming over Ricky Rainey, Nordine Taleb, Laureano Staropoli and Elizeu Zaleski Dos Santos. Salikhov hasn’t been defeated in nearly three years, with that last loss coming to Alex Garcia at UFC Fight Night Shanghai. Salikhov has picked up 12 of his professional MMA wins by KO/TKO, while both of his losses came by submission.

UFC Fight Night: Ortega vs. Jung is set for Saturday, October 17 from a location to be announced with Brian Ortega and Chan Sung Jung headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
