A welterweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Rochester according to Combate as Danny Roberts is going to be in action against Michel Pereira.
Roberts (16-4-0) has won two of his last three under the UFC banner, with those victories coming over the duo of Oliver Enkamp and David Zawada. Roberts has suffered four losses as a professional MMA fighter and three of those defeats have come in the UFC. Roberts has seen four of his professional MMA fights go the distance and Roberts picked up wins in all of those encounters.
Pereira (21-9-0-2NC) is going to be making his UFC debut in this encounter, and does so having won one of his last three bouts. Pereira was scheduled to fight for the Heat Welterweight Title at Heat 43 in September of 2018, but missed weight for the encounter and lost the opportunity to become a champion. Pereira has suffered nine losses as a professional MMA fighter and seven of those defeats came by way of decision.
UFC Fight Night Rochester takes place on Saturday, May 18 from the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York with Rafael Dos Anjos and Kevin Lee headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
