Cerrone (32-10-0-1NC) comes into the bout on a three fight losing streak, having been defeated by Darren Till, Robbie Lawler and Jorge Masvidal. Cerrone has previously challenged for the UFC Lightweight Title, losing to then champion Rafael Dos Anjos at UFC On Fox 17. Cerrone has only seen one of his last nine fights go the distance and that came against Robbie Lawler at UFC 214.

Medeiros (15-4-0-1NC) enters the fight on a three bout winning streak, last defeating Alex Oliveira at UFC 218. Medeiros is going to be headlining his first UFC card, having been with the promotion for almost five years now. Medeiros has suffered all four of his professional MMA losses in the UFC, but the fighter hasn’t been defeated in over a year.

UFC Fight Night Austin takes place on Sunday, February 18 from the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas with Donald Cerrone and Yancy Medeiros possibly headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
