A welterweight division fight could be coming to UFC On Fox 27 according to the Charlotte Observer as Drew Dober battles Frank Camacho.
Dober (18-8-0) is making his welterweight division debut in this fight after going 4-4-0-1NC as a lightweight in the UFC. Dober last competed at UFC 214 and he scored a knockout win over Josh Burkman on the preliminary card of the event. Dober hasn’t seen any of his fights go the distance in over two years, with the last one to do so coming against Scott Holtzman at UFC 195.
Camacho (16-5-0) is looking to build of the momentum of his first UFC win, which came over Damien Brown at UFC Fight Night Sydney. Camacho is also a former Pacific Xtreme Combat Welterweight Champion, defeating Tyrone Jones to win the gold in 2015. Camacho fought a pair of UFC veterans prior to signing with the promotion, with those big show vets being Luigi Fioravanti and Keita Nakamura.
UFC On Fox 27 takes place on Saturday, January 27 from the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina with Ronaldo Souza and Derek Brunson headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox.
