Report: DWTNCS Season Two To Be 8 Episodes, Brazil Events To Be Tape Delayed

MMA

This June, MMA fans will get a second season of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series (DWTNCS), which streams exclusively on UFC Fight Pass and this season has undergone some changes.

Some reports came out recently saying that the show will air for three months, with the final month taking place in Brazil. However, members of the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) recently revealed to MMA Junkie that the show will run from June 12 until August 7, making it an eight episode run instead of a twelve episode run.

Due to UFC International Fight Week, which commences with UFC 226 on July 7, no episode of DWTNCS will happen that week.

The final four week of the series were set to take place with Brazilian fighters and that has now changed because the show will be taped from August 9-11 at the UFC Ultimate Fighter Gym in Las Vegas, which will then be seen later on UFC Fight Pass via tape delay. Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira is expected to serve as a guest judge for the Brazilian themed events.

A total of sixteen fighters earned contracts with the UFC in the first season of the show, with more expected to earn deals during season two.
