A bantamweight division attraction has been added to Bellator 244 as Erik Perez is in action against Josh Hill.
MMA Junkie first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
Perez (19-7-0) is winless thus far under the Bellator MMA banner, dropping a bout to Toby Misech at Bellator 235. Perez won seven of nine fights when competing in the UFC, with notable wins coming over Edwin Figueroa, Taylor Lapilus and Francisco Rivera. Perez has picked up nineteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and eight of them came by way of submission.
Hill (19-3-0) is undefeated in Bellator MMA competition, having defeated Vinicius Zani by unanimous decision at Bellator 239. Hill had challenged twice before for the WSOF Bantamweight Title, losing both times to Marlon Moraes. Hill also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 18, making it to the quarterfinals of the reality show before losing to Mike Wootten.
Bellator 244 takes place on Friday, August 21 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with Ryan Bader and Vadim Nemkov headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
