Report: Errol Spence Jr. vs. Danny Garcia Pegged For January 2020

It appears that Errol Spence Jr.'s next fight is being made and could be taking place as soon as January 2020.

After Spence unified the WBC and IBF welterweight titles with a split decision win over Shawn Porter on September 28, former world champion Danny Garcia confronted Spence in the ring to tease a potential showdown. Well, according to Mike Coppinger, a deal is in place for both Spence and Garcia to fight on January 25 on a PBC on FOX pay-per-view, though nothing is set in stone.

It should also be noted that Heidi Androl, who conducted the post-fight interview with both Spence and Garcia, would go on to note that she was told by the higher-ups that the fight is in fact happening.

Garcia, a two-division world champion, has a 2-2 record in his last four fights, but both losses were close decision defeats to Porter and Keith Thurman in title bouts. Garcia last fought in April when he stopped Adrian Granados in the seventh round of their PBC on FOX main event from Carson, California.
