A middleweight division encounter is slated for the upcoming UFC Fight Night Lincoln card according to Mike Heck of Fansided as Eryk Anders faces Tim Williams.
Anders (10-1-0) is looking to rebound from the first loss of his professional MMA career, which came to former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Lyoto Machida at UFC Fight Night Belem. Anders won two bouts in the UFC before suffering the defeat, with those victories coming over Rafael Natal and Markus Perez. Anders is a former Legacy Fighting Alliance Middleweight Champion, defeating Brendan Allen at LFA 14 to claim the gold.
Williams (15-4-0) is currently winless under the UFC banner, with that loss coming to Oskar Piechota at UFC Fight Night Austin. Williams also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 17 and the UFC Ultimate Fighter 19, never making it past the quarterfinals on the reality show. Williams has suffered just four defeats as a professional MMA fighter, with all of those losses coming to past or present UFC fighters.
UFC Fight Night Lincoln takes place on Saturday, August 25 from the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska with Justin Gaethje and Al Iaquinta headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
