Report: Five Fights Added To Bellator 244 Preliminary Card, John Salter In Action

The Bellator 244 preliminary card is quickly filling up as a five-pack of fights has been added to the card.

Andrew Kapel vs. John Salter, Sidney Outlaw vs. Adam Piccolotti, Lucas Brennan vs. Will Smith, Chris Gonzalez vs. Vladimir Tokov, and Lance Gibson Jr. vs. Shane Kruchten have been booked, according to MMA Junkie.

Kapel (15-6-0) is undefeated thus far under the Bellator banner, defeating King Mo by first-round knockout at Bellator 233. Salter (17-4-0) has won seven of eight in Bellator and comes into this bout riding a two-fight winning streak.

Outlaw (14-4-0) has won two of three in Bellator. Those wins come over the duo of Roger Huerta and Mike Bannon. Piccolotti (12-3-0) has won three of his last four in Bellator, but this will mark his first professional MMA bout in nearly a year.

Brennan (2-0-0) has spent his entire pro MMA career competing in Bellator, defeating Thomas Lopez and Jacob Landin. Smith (3-1-0) is making his Bellator debut and does so on the strength of a two-fight winning streak.

Gonzalez (4-0-0) has already picked up three victories in Bellator. All three of those wins came by way of decision. Tokov (5-0-0) has won two straight in Bellator.

Gibson Jr. (3-0-0) made his Bellator debut at Bellator 232, defeating Dominic Jones by way of first-round knockout. Kruchten (12-5-0) is winless thus far in Bellator competition, dropping bouts to Aaron Pico and Daniel Straus.

Bellator 244 takes place on Friday, August 21 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. Ryan Bader and Vadim Nemkov will headline the card. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
