Report: Frankie Edgar Pulled From UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs. Ige

Next weeks UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs. Ige card has now lost both participants who were scheduled to compete in the co-main event as former UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar has now been pulled from the card.

Cole Shelton of BJPenn.com first reported the news, while also revealing that the UFC may rebook Edgar and Pedro Munhoz once Munhoz recovers from the coronavirus. Edgar and Munhoz were set to meet in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs. Ige, but Munhoz tested positive for the coronavirus, which eliminated him from the card.

There is no word yet on how the UFC plans on reshuffling the deck for the event or which fight will now obtain co-main event status.

UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs. Ige takes place on Wednesday, July 15 from Fight Island in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi with Calvin Kattar and Dan Ige headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
