A bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night: Holm vs. Aldana as Frankie Saenz faces Jonathan Martinez.
MMA Junkie first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
Saenz (13-6-0) has won two of his last six under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over the duo of Merab Dvalishvili and Enrique Briones. Saenz hasn’t picked up a win in over two years, with the aforementioned victory over Briones coming in May of 2018. Saenz has picked up thirteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and eight of them have come by way of submission.
Martinez (11-3-0) has won two of four altogether in the UFC, with those wins coming over Wuliji Buren and Pingyuan Liu. Martinez has suffered a total of three losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them came against UFC veterans. Martinez has picked up eleven wins as a professional MMA fighter and six of them came by way of KO/TKO.
UFC Fight Night: Holm vs. Aldana takes place on Saturday, August 1 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Holly Holm and Irene Aldana headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
