A bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC 248 as Guido Cannetti is in action against Danaa Batgerel.
MMA Junkie reported the bout, but its placement on the card isn’t known at this time.
Cannetti (8-4-0) has rotated wins and losses throughout his UFC run, with the latest bout being a second round submission loss to Marlon Vera at UFC Fight Night Buenos Aires. Cannetti is also back in action for the first time in over a year, as UFC Fight Night Buenos Aires took place in November of 2018. Cannetti has suffered four losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them came by way of submission.
Batgerel (6-2-0) is winless thus far under the UFC banner, having dropped a bout to Heili Alateng at UFC Fight Night Shenzhen. Batgerel hasn’t picked up a victory in over a year, as that last win took place at MGL-1 Fighting Championship 11 in June of 2018. Batgerel has picked up six wins as a professional MMA fighter and half of them came by way of KO/TKO.
UFC 248 takes place on Saturday, March 7 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
