A welterweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Buenos Aires according to Farah Hannoun as Hector Aldana is in action against Laureano Staropoli.
Aldana (4-1-0) is currently winless under the UFC banner, having dropped a bout to Kenan Song via second round TKO at UFC Fight Night Singapore. Aldana has only competed once in the last five years, with the aforementioned bout against Song serving as that fight. Aldana also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter Latin America 2, making it to the semi-finals before losing to Enrique Marin.
Staropoli (7-1-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a five fight winning streak. Staropoli has competed eight times as a professional MMA fighter and none of his bouts have gone past the second round. Staropoli is also returning to action for the first time in over a year, with his last fight taking place on June of 2017.
UFC Fight Night Buenos Aires is set for Saturday, November 17 from the Luna Park in Buenos Aires, Argentina with Neil Magny and Santiago Ponzinibbio headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
