A lightweight division attraction has been added to UFC 254 as #11 Islam Makhachev battles #9 (Welterweight) Rafael Dos Anjos.

Makhachev (18-1-0) enters the contest riding a six fight winning streak, with notable victories coming over Nik Lentz, Gleison Tibau and Davi Ramos. Makhachev has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Adriano Martins at UFC 192. Makhachev has competed 19 times as a professional MMA fighter and eight of those encounters went the distance.
Dos Anjos (29-13-0) has won just one of his last five in the UFC, with that lone win coming over Kevin Lee at UFC Fight Night Rochester. Dos Anjos is a former UFC lightweight champion, defeating Anthony Pettis to win the gold at UFC 185. Dos Anjos has competed as a lightweight and welterweight in the UFC, earning an overall record of 18-11-0 in the promotion.
UFC 254 takes place on Saturday, October 24 from a location to be announced with Khabib Nurmagomedov and Justin Gaethje headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+ pay-per-view.
