Report: James Krause Replaces Muslim Salikhov At UFC Fight Island 6

Muslim Salikhov has been pulled from UFC Fight Island 6, replacing him against Claudio Silva is James Krause.

Silva (14-1-0) is undefeated thus far under the UFC banner having defeated Brad ScottLeon EdwardsNordine TalebDanny Roberts and Cole Williams. Silva hasn’t been defeated in nearly 13 years, with that last loss coming to Matt Thorpe at Ultimate Warrior Challenge 5. Silva has competed 15 times as a professional MMA fighter and just one of those bouts went the distance.

Krause (27-8-0) has won six of his last seven in the UFC with notable victories coming over Daron Cruickshank, Shane Campbell, Warlley Alves and Sergio Moraes. Krause has a 3-1-0 record when competing on Fight Night cards and he hasn’t been beaten on a Fight Night card in almost seven years. Krause has competed 35 times as a professional MMA fighter and 10 of those fights went the distance.

UFC Fight island 6 is set for Saturday, October 17 from Fight Island in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi with Brian Ortega and Chan Sung Jung headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
