Report: Jamese Taylor Pulled From Bellator 239

Tonight’s Bellator 239 card is going to be moving on with one less encounter as a featherweight division attraction between Jamese Taylor and Lucas Brennan has been pulled from the card.

MMA Junkie reported the news, citing an illness suffered by Taylor as the reason for the bouts cancellation. Taylor did miss weight for the bout against Brennan and he was also the final fighter to step on the scale during the official weigh-ins.

There is no word at this time as to whether or not the bout is going to be rescheduled for a future card or if the fighters will go their separate ways.

This is the second bout to be pulled from the card this week, as a heavyweight division encounter between Steve Mowry and Rudy Schaffroth was canned after a medical issue arose for Mowry.

Bellator 239 takes place tonight from the Winstar World Resort & Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma with Ed Ruth and Yaroslav Amosov headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
