Maia holds a 2-1-0 record in the UFC (17-5-1 overall), with those victories coming over the duo of Alexis Davis and Roxanne Modafferi. Maia, as was previously stated, is a former Invicta FC Flyweight Champion, defeating Vanessa Porto by unanimous decision at Invicta FC 15 to claim the gold. Maia isn’t known as a fighter who is a finisher, as the competitor has picked up more than half of her professional MMA victories have come by way of decision.

A newly signed Maia is back in action this November at UFC 244, facing Katlyn Chookagian in a women’s flyweight division encounter.

UFC 244 takes place on Saturday, November 2 from Madison Square Garden in New York, New York with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
