Report: Jennifer Maia vs. Viviane Araujo Rebooked For June 27 UFC Card

A women’s flyweight division bout has been rebooked for the June 27 UFC card as #4 Jennifer Maia faces #7 Viviane Araujo.

Maia (17-6-1) has won two of four under the UFC banner, with those victories coming over the duo of Alexis Davis and Roxanne Modafferi. Maia has seen her last eight professional MMA bouts go the distance and it has been over four years since the fighter got a finish. Maia is a former Invicta FC Flyweight Champion, defeating Vanessa Porto at Invicta FC 16 to claim the gold.

Araujo (8-2-0) has won two of three in the UFC, with those wins coming over the two pack of Talita Bernardo and the aforementioned Davis. Araujo is making her first “Fight Night” appearance, as all of the fighter’s previous bouts took place on pay-per-view cards. Araujo has picked up eight wins as a professional MMA fighter and half of them came by way of submission.

The yet to be announced UFC card takes place on Saturday, June 27 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
