Nicolas Dalby needed a new opponent for UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs. Till after the withdrawal of Danny Roberts and now he has one in the form of Jesse Ronson.
Aaron Bronsteter of TSN first reported the news and the bout is still expected to be a part of the main card.
Dalby (18-3-1-1NC) is undefeated thus far during his second run in the UFC, having defeated Alex Oliveira by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night Copenhagen. Dalby is a former Cage Warriors Interim Welterweight Champion, defeating Alex Lohore at Cage Warriors 103 to claim the gold. Dalby has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them came by way of decision.
Ronson (21-10-0) is going to be starting his second run in the UFC and the fighter has won just one of his last three fights. Ronson went winless during his first stint in the UFC, dropping fights to Michel Prazeres, Kevin Lee and Francisco Trinaldo. Ronson also competed in season one of the PFL, dropping fights to the duo of Natan Schulte and Nikolay Aleksakhin.
UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs. Till takes place on Saturday, July 25 from Fight Island in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi with Robert Whittaker and Darren Till headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
