A featherweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs. Ige as #9 (Bantamweight) Jimmie Rivera faces #10 (Bantamweight) Cody Stamann.
MMA Fighting first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
Rivera (22-4-0) has won just one of his last four under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over John Dodson at UFC 228. Rivera hasn’t picked up a win in almost two years, with the aforementioned victory over Dodson coming in September of 2018. Rivera has picked up twenty two wins as a professional MMA fighter and sixteen of them have come by way of decision.
Stamann (19-2-1) has won two of his last four fights in the UFC, with those wins coming over the duo of Alejandro Perez and Brian Kelleher. Stamann has yet to pick up a UFC victory on a Fight Night card, as all of his previous wins in the promotion came on pay-per-view cards. Stamann has picked up nineteen victories as a professional MMA fighter and eleven of them came by way of decision.
UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs. Ige takes place on Wednesday, July 15 from Fight Island in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi with Calvin Kattar and Dan Ige headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
