A bantamweight division attraction is the latest addition to UFC 238 according to Ariel Helwani of ESPN as #7 Jimmie Rivera is going to be in action against #9 Petr Yan.
Rivera (22-3-0) has won just one of his last three under the UFC banner, with that lone one coming against John Dodson at UFC 228. Rivera also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 14, losing in the opening round of the reality show to Dennis Bermudez. Rivera has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter and two of them came in UFC competition.
Yan (12-1-0) is undefeated thus far in UFC competition, defeating the four pack of Teruto Ishihara, Jin Soo Son, Douglas Silva De Andrade and John Dodson. Yan is a former Absolute Championship Berkut Bantamweight Champion, defeating Magomed Magomedov to win the gold at ACB 57. Yan has picked up twelve wins as a professional MMA fighter and half of them have come by way of decision.
UFC 238 takes place on Saturday, June 8 from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois with Henry Cejudo and Marlon Moraes headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
