Report: John Dodson Signs New Five Fight Contract With The UFC

UFC Ultimate Fighter 14 champion John Dodson has spent the last eight-plus years competing in the UFC and it doesn’t look like that tenure is coming to an end anytime soon.

That’s because a report from MMA Fighting is stating that Dodson has signed a new five fight contract with the UFC.

Dodson (21-11-0, 10-6-0 UFC) has won just one of his last three under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Nathaniel Wood at UFC Fight Night Rio Rancho. Dodson has previously challenged for the UFC Flyweight Title on two separate occasions, losing both times to Demetrious Johnson at UFC On Fox 6 and UFC 191. Dodson has also previously headlined three UFC cards and the fighter went winless in all of those main event appearances. Dodson has picked up a total of twenty one wins as a professional MMA fighter and ten of them came by way of KO/TKO.

There is no word at this time as to when Dodson will compete again, as he has only competed just once in the last year-plus.
