A flyweight division attraction is the latest addition to UFC Fight Night Lincoln according to Marcel Dorff of MMA DNA as #6 John Moraga faces #14 Deiveson Figueiredo.
Moraga (19-6-0) enters the contest in the midst of a three fight winning streak, which includes victories over Ashkan Mokhtarian, Magomed Bibulatov and Wilson Reis. Moraga has seen five of his last six bouts in the UFC go the distance, with the fighter holding a 2-3-0 record in those encounters. Moraga has previously challenged for the UFC Flyweight Title, losing to current champion Demetrious Johnson at UFC On Fox 8.
Figueiredo (14-0-0) is currently undefeated under the UFC banner, having defeated the trio of Marco Beltran, Jarred Brooks and Joseph Morales. Figueiredo has competed a total of fourteen times as a professional MMA fighter and only two of his bouts have gone the distance. Figueiredo is also competing in North America for the first time in his professional MMA career, which has already lasted over six years.
UFC Fight Night Lincoln takes place on Saturday, August 25 from the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska with Justin Gaethje and Al Iaquinta headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
