Report: Jose Aldo Faces Marlon Vera At UFC 255

A bantamweight division attraction has reportedly been added to UFC 255 as Jose Aldo (no. 7) faces Marlon Vera (no. 15)

Raphael Marinho of Combate first reported the news. Fightful reached out to Vera's management who would not confirm the booking.

Aldo (28-7-0) enters the contest riding a three-fight losing streak, dropping bouts to Marlon Moraes, Petr Yan and Alexander Volkanovski. Also hasn’t earned a victory in almost two years, with his last win coming over Renato Moicano at UFC Fight Night Fortaleza. Aldo was the first ever UFC featherweight champion and he defended the gold seven times before losing it.

Vera (16-6-1) has won six of his last seven, with notable victories coming over Frankie Saenz, Andre Ewell and Sean O’Malley. Vera hasn’t been defeated in a bantamweight division bout in almsot three years, with his last divisional loss coming to Douglas Silva De Andrade at UFC Fight Night Belem. Vera has suffered six losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them came by way of decision.

UFC 255 takes place on Saturday, November 21 from a location to be announced with Deiveson Figueiredo and Alex Perez headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+ pay-per-view.
