A featherweight scrap has been added to UFC 252 as Kai Kamaka III fights Tony Kelley.
MMA Junkie first reported the bout, which is expected to be a part of the preliminary card.
Kamaka III (7-2-0) is making his UFC debut and does so on the strength of a five-fight winning streak. Kamaka III has not suffered a defeat in over three years. His last loss came against Jeff Mesa at Pacific Xtreme Combat 56 in March of 2017. Kamaka III has competed a total of nine times as a professional MMA fighter and seven of those encounters went the distance.
Kelley (4-1-0) is also making his UFC debut. He will compete for the first time in over four years. Kelley previously challenged for the Legacy FC Featherweight Title, losing to then champion Kevin Aguilar at Legacy FC 57. Kelley has not earned a victory in over five years, last defeating Levi Mowles at a Legacy FC/Legacy Kickboxing event in May of 2015.
UFC 252 takes place on Saturday, August 15 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. The trilogy title fight between Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier headlines the card. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+ pay-per-view.
