Macy Chiasson has been pulled from UFC Vegas 9 due to medical reasons, replacing her against Sijara Eubanks is Karol Rosa.
Raphael Marinho of Combate first reported the news.
Eubanks (5-4-0) has won just one of her last three in the UFC. That lone win comes against Sarah Moras at UFC Fight Night: Smith vs. Teixeira. Eubanks was originally set to fight for the right to be called the first-ever UFC women’s flyweight champion at The Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale, but was replaced by Roxanne Modafferi due is weight cutting issues. Eubanks has gone the distance seven times in nine professional fights.
Rosa (13-3-0) is undefeated thus far under the UFC banner, picking up wins over Lara Procopio and Vanessa Melo. Rosa hasn’t been defeated in nearly two years with her last loss coming to Melissa Gatto at Nacao Cyborg 3 in September of 2018. Rosa has competed 16 times as a pro and half of those bouts went the distance.
UFC Vegas 9 takes place on Saturday, September 5 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Alistair Overeem and Augusto Sakai headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
