Worthy (16-6-0) is undefeated thus far under the UFC banner, picking up wins over Devonte Smith and Luis Pena. Worthy enters the contest riding a seven-fight winning streak and he has not suffered a defeat in over three years. Worthy has picked up nine of 16 professional MMA wins by way of KO/TKO. The all-action fighter has also suffered five of six defeats by KO/TKO.
Azaitar (12-0-0) has picked up a single win in the UFC over Teemu Packlalen at UFC 242. Azaitar is going to be back in action for the first time since September 2019. Azaitar has picked up nine professional MMA wins by way of KO/TKO and has finished four straight fights via strikes.
UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs. Sakai takes place on Saturday, September 5 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. Alistair Overeem and Augusto Sakai will headline. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event. Broadcast plans have not been revealed.
