Report: Leon Edwards Signs New Multi-Fight Deal With The UFC

Leon Edwards is two months away from facing former UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley in the main event of UFC Fight Night London.

The fighter will enter the bout after reportedly signing a new multi-fight deal with the UFC, which was reported by MMA Fighting

?I am excited to re-sign with the world?s foremost MMA promotion,? Edwards said in a press release. ?I have had an incredible run in the UFC thus far, and this contract secures my financial position as I make my run towards the welterweight title in 2020.?

Edwards has gone 10-2-0 in the UFC (18-3-0 overall), with notable victories coming over Albert Tumenov, Vicente Luque, Bryan Barberena, Donald Cerrone, Gunnar Nelson and Rafael Dos Anjos. Edwards is also undefeated in UFC main event fights, having picked up headlining wins at UFC Fight Night Singapore and UFC Fight Night San Antonio

UFC Fight Night London takes place on Saturday, March 21 from the 02 Arena in London, England with Leon Edwards and Tyron Woodley headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
