A women’s featherweight division attraction has been added to Bellator 233 according to MMA Fighting as Leslie Smith is going to be in action against Arlene Blencowe.
Smith (11-7-1) has won just one of two under the Bellator MMA banner, having defeated Sinead Kavanagh by majority decision at Bellator 224. Smith also competed seven times in the UFC and exited the promotion while in the midst of a two fight winning streak. Smith has competed a total of nineteen times as a professional MMA fighter and none of her bouts have ended by way of submission.
Blencowe (12-7-0) enters the contest while in the midst of a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Amber Leibrock and Amanda Bell. Blencowe has previously challenged for the Bellator Women’s Featherweight Title, losing to Julia Budd by split decision at Bellator 189. Blencowe has picked up twelve wins as a professional MMA fighter and seven of them came by way of KO/TKO.
Bellator 233 takes place on Friday, November 8 from the Winstar World Resort & Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma with Costello Van Steenis and John Salter headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
