Report: LFA Suing Anthem Sports & AXS TV, Alleging Breach Of Contract

The Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA) would enter 2019 airing their events live on AXS TV, but the same thing wouldn’t be said by the end of 2019.

That’s because the promotion was ousted by AXS TV once Anthem Sports, who is the parent company of Impact Wrestling, booted the promotion from the channel in September of 2019

It would appear that the LFA isn’t happy with what went down because Forbes is reporting that the promotion is suing AXS TV and Anthem Sports, seeking $700,000 in damages while alleging a breach of contract.

LFA officials have revealed that they were still contracted to run nine events on the network before getting the boot from AXS TV, which cost the promotion a reported $27,500 per event. LFA officials also claim that Anthem Sports caused damages with national sponsors, viewers, ticket purchasers and fighters.

There has been no response yet from Anthem Sports and AXS TV officials towards the lawsuit filed against them from the LFA, which now streams their events live on UFC Fight Pass. The LFA wasn't the only promotion to get axed from AXS TV, as NJPW's contract with the channel wasn't renewed for 2020.
