A women’s strawweight division attraction has been added to a yet to be announced UFC card on October 3 as Loma Lookboonmee faces Jinh Yu Frey.
MMA Junkie first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
Lookboonmee (4-2-0) has won just one of two under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Aleksandra Albu at UFC Fight Night Singapore. Lookboonmee also picked up a pair of wins when competing in Invicta FC, with those coming over Mellissa Wang and Monique Adriane. Lookboonmee has competed a total of six times as a professional MMA fighter and four of those bouts went the distance.
Frey (9-5-0) is winless thus far in UFC competition, having dropped a bout to Kay Hansen at UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs. Hooker. Frey is also a former Invicta FC Atomweight Champion, defeating Minna Grusander to win the gold at Invicta FC 30. Frey has picked up nine wins as a professional MMA fighter and six of them came by way of decision.
The yet to be announced UFC card is set for Saturday, October 3 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
