A bantamweight division attraction has been added to Dana White’s Contender Series Episode 27 as Mana Martinez faces Drako Rodriguez.
MMA Junkie first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
Martinez (6-1-0) enters the contest riding a five fight winning streak and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in over three years. Martinez is the current Fury FC Bantamweight Champion, defeating Jarrett Walden by first round knockout at Fury FC 24 to win the gold. Martinez has picked up six wins as a professional MMA fighter and all of them came by way of KO/TKO.
Rodriguez (7-1-0) comes into the contest riding a two fight winning streak, with both wins coming in the King Of The Cage promotion. Rodriguez has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to UFC veteran Tony Gravely. Rodriguez went undefeated as an amateur MMA fighter, while also capturing the KOTC Amateur Bantamweight Title in 2017.
Dana White’s Contender Series Episode 27 takes place on Tuesday, August 4 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
