Report: Mark Madsen Faces Austin Hubbard At UFC 248

A lightweight division attraction has been added to UFC 248 as Mark Madsen is going to be in action against Austin Hubbard.

MMA Junkie first reported the bout, but its placement on the card isn’t known at this time.

Madsen (9-0-0) made his UFC debut last year at UFC Fight Night Copenhagen, defeating Danilo Belluardo by first round TKO. Madsen is undefeated thus far as a professional MMA fighter and that streak has already lasted over six years. Madsen also picked up four victories competing in the Cage Warriors promotion, with three of them coming by way of decision.

Hubbard (11-3-0) has won just one of two under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Kyle Prepolec at UFC Fight Night Vancouver. Hubbard has held multiple titles throughout his professional MMA career, as the fighter is a former Legacy Fighting Alliance, Caged Aggression and Sparta Combat League Lightweight Champion. Hubbard has picked up eleven wins as a professional MMA fighter and five of them came by way of decision.

UFC 248 takes place on Saturday, March 7 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
