A bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Tampa according to MMA Junkie as Marlon Vera is going to be in action against Andre Ewell.
Vera (14-5-1) enters the contest on the strength of a four fight winning streak, having defeated Wuliji Buren, Guido Cannetti, Frankie Saenz and Nohelin Hernandez. Vera hasn’t been beaten in nearly two years, with his last loss coming to Douglas Silva De Andrade at UFC Fight Night Belem. Vera has suffered five losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them came by way of decision.
Ewell (15-5-0) has won two of three under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over the duo of Renan Barao and Anderson Dos Santos. Ewell has suffered a single defeat in UFC competition, with that loss coming to Nathaniel Wood at UFC 232. Ewell has picked up fifteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and seven of them came by way of KO/TKO.
UFC Fight Night Tampa takes place on Saturday, October 12 from the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida with Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Michelle Waterson headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
