Report: Max Griffin Faces Alex Morono At UFC Fight Night Tampa

A welterweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Tampa according to MMA Junkie as Max Griffin is going to be in action against Alex Morono

Griffin (15-6-0) has won two of his last five under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over the duo of Mike Perry and Zelim Imadaev. Griffin has seen his last five bouts go the distance and it has been nearly three years since the fighter got a finish. Griffin has suffered six losses as a professional MMA fighter and five of those defeats came by way of decision.

Morono (16-5-0-1NC) enters the contest while in the midst of a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Kenan Song and Zak Ottow. Morono hasn’t suffered a defeat in over a year, with that last loss coming against Jordan Mein at UFC On Fox 30. Morono has suffered five losses as a professional MMA fighter and four of those defeats have come by way of decision.

UFC Fight Night Tampa takes place on Saturday, October 12 from the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida with Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Michelle Waterson headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
