However, one key person won’t be in Masvidal’s corner for the bout and that is coach Mike Brown, who tested positive for the coronavirus.
Combate first reported the news, while also stating that Brown’s positive test took place sometime yesterday. MMA Fighting is reported that Masvidal will still have four cornermen for his bout against Usman, despite losing Brown.
Brown has yet to issue any kind of statement on the positive coronavirus test, but the coach did tell MMA Fighting that he is “all good.” There has been no statement from the UFC at this time and it is unknown is Brown will be allowed to come to Fight Island to corner fighters on future cards.
